In January 2016, I began a day of soul-searching and Thailand came to mind. I thought of a long lost couple, Art and Pat Chutong. I have gotten in touch with them through Facebook. I have heard about their work with children and the abandoned unwed mothers. I thought of visiting them again.
On that morning in December 2015, I woke up and I heard a voice, “Prayer Mountain”. I knew Art had mentioned about the Prayer Mountain in Thailand. Therefore, I asked, “Lord is that You?” There was silent, an astute silent. This was one of those moments you knew it was the Lord. So, without further delay, I went to my computer and at once booked a single return ticket to Thailand.
On that morning of departure, I woke up with a bad dream. I was very troubled by the dream whether to go to Thailand or is God giving me a sign. Finally, I called brother David. I told him about the dream. He immediately said that I should go because that was Thailand and he prayed for me.
When I landed Art picked me up at the airport. We had not seen each other for more than 30 years. It was a sweet moment but Pat was not with us. She had something urgent to attend to on that day. The next day, we drove to the Prayer Mountain. Art said because this was what the Lord said to me. For 3 hours we were both catching up and filling in on all the lost years. I told him about the dream and he explained everything why I was here.
When we arrived at Diamond Land, Yahalom, it was an awesome view. The mountains was so awesome, no wonder the Lord says, Isaiah 2:2: In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.Anne Heng
